By Kashif Hameed Malik, Director at Hawks Global · Prepared 2 October 2026 · A practical preparation list, not an official FBR form.
Before you start your Pakistan income tax return, gather the records behind your income, tax deductions, assets and expenses. This checklist helps you organise them. It does not decide whether you must file or calculate your tax.
Tick items as you collect them. Where an item does not apply, leave it unticked and discuss it with your preparer. Your ticks stay only on this open page; nothing is uploaded or saved by this tool.

What to check before submission
FBR’s filing guidance explains that the return and wealth statement need to be completed and the wealth statement reconciled. It says completed submissions move from Draft to Completed Task in IRIS. Check your own applicable forms and status with your preparer; collecting documents alone does not mean a return has been filed.
Do not send identity documents or bank statements through this page. Contact us first so we can explain the service, fee and document-sharing process for your case.

Official sources and scope
Read FBR’s income tax return guidance and its filing video tutorials. These support the filing and reconciliation explanation. The preparation checklist is Hawks Global’s practical guide; it is not FBR’s mandatory document list. Exact requirements depend on your situation and current rules. This page covers personal income-tax preparation, not sales-tax or company returns.
